Board Meeting Minutes

July 16, 2005

Lodge Conference Room, 9 A M

 

Absent: Peter Puckett and Kevin Lawrence

Present:  Jill & Bill Holstein, Bob & Lianne Ervin, Lynn Glocker Condley, Bob Boughton and Vince Mirrione.

 

Board called to order at 9 am by Bob Boughton, LMP Vice President.

 

Special Guests:  Our new CPA, Sandy Vaughn & her assistant Jill Harlow.  They came to present a proposal to switch the dues from ACCPAC which is no longer supported by DOA, to QuickBooks at the cost to the association in the approximate amount of $400-$600 (for 16-24 hours of work).  Bill Holstein made a motion to make this switch, 2nd by Lynn Glocker Condley, all present approved.  Motion passed

 

Approval of Minutes

Motion MSP approving June 2005 Minutes.  There are no planned special assessments nor is there any legal action pending for or against LMPHOA.

 

Financial Report

Budget is on line in all areas.  Balance in Checking account is $90,800; Balance in the remodel acct is $20,583, and a total of $95,821 in other accounts.  Bill made a motion to accept Treasurer’s report, 2nd by Lianne.  All approved. Motion Passed.

Old Business

  1. Beautification – 580C Rental - owner needs correspondence (Update: done by email by Geri – renter moved out – work to be done before 8-31).  525C Renter to be out in 30 days…property to be improved.
  2. Rail – Rail to be redone
  3. Safety meetings – Geri did with Everett and Jana, to do this week with Linda
  4. Annexation – private parties need to present to membership on their own.
  5. Reunion – 105 reservations to date, more expected. Caterer is on line
  6. Annual meeting details – Board to decide on Agenda.
  7. Presidents Dinner – set for Murphy’s Historic Hotel, Office to get out invitation and menu choices.
  8. National Night out planned for August 2.

 

Director Reports

  1. Lake – Jill reported that heat caused the rapid growth of the elodea.  Spraying scheduled for next week on Tuesday evening at 5 pm with the lake closed for 12 hours.
  2. Recreation – Vince reported that the BBQ, Ice Cream Social, Fireworks. Bingo and BMX competition all went well and were well attended.
  3. Maintenance- Zoning under review by all contacted parties now.

 

New Business

  1. New Board will need to work on the Budget right away.
